Bourbon Orleans Hotel Announces Easter French Quarter Brunch featuring the Carl LeBlanc Jazz Trio

NEW ORLEANS - March 13, 2013 - The Bourbon Orleans Hotel‘s historic Orleans Ballroom will be the site of a Jazz and Champagne Brunch taking place on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, from 10am to 2pm.  Executive Chef Joey Wells has created an imaginative Easter Sunday Brunch, giving this traditional brunch a Creole-style twist.

Chef Wells, a local who honed his culinary skills  in Louisiana and Texas has prepared a delectable array of Creole favorites. Special dishes include his traditional grillades & grits, buttermilk biscuits and gravy and oysters Rockefeller.  To end, what could be better than a Banana's Foster station, with a wide selection of assorted pastries, cookies and  beignets.

As lagniappe, a southern Louisiana tradition of giving a small gift to a customer, the champagne will flow a volunte with complimentary champagne or mimosas poured by request throughout the meal.

Music accompaniment to the delightful choices on the buffet will be from the Carl LeBlanc Jazz Trio, group of jazz musicians that includes  New Orleans native Carl Leblanc, best known for his banjo performances with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.  Carl has played with the greats including, Fats Domino, Allen Toussaint, Screaming Jay Hawkins, Bo Diddley, Ellis Marsalis.    These local artists have been performing for many years in venues throughout New Orleans.

The Jazz and Champagne Brunch will be served between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2013 with a fixed cost of $49.00 per person, plus tax and gratuity and a reduced price for children 12 and under of just $24.  Brunch will be served in the comfortable surrounds of the historic Orleans Ballroom, an important fixture in New Orleans social life since 1817.  The Ballroom is located  just behind St. Louis Cathedral, making an excursion to the historic district a delightful way to spend Easter Sunday.  Valet parking is available with validation at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, 717 Orleans Street, while dining.  Reservations are recommended by calling (504) 571-4604.
