(New Orleans, La.) - It's time to beat the heat at Cool Zoo, the splash park at Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, that opens for its third season Saturday, March 30, 2013. Cool Zoo is one of the top water parks New Orleans has to offer. It's the hot spot for everyone to cool down at Audubon Zoo.
Check out the jumping water spouts, a huge alligator water slide, a spider monkey soaker, water-spitting snakes and more. There's also shaded seating, family restrooms, a Snack N' Splash concession stand and The Cool Shop offering a variety of summertime necessities.
The park offers three different splash zones with one area specifically for toddlers and younger kids. Heated water is available at Cool Zoo as needed.
Cool Zoo is located between the Gottesman Family Endangered Species Carousel and Embraceable Zoo. Visitors may exit the splash park and visit all their favorite animals at the Zoo - their wristband will get them back into Cool Zoo throughout the day.
Need a place to stow your gear? Lockers are available for a small fee.
