MAISON DE VILLE TO HOST INTERACTIVE, GHOST HUNTER SUMMER CAMP- FOR ADULTS!

The Hotel Maison de Ville is collaborating with the Ghosts of Louisiana Paranormal Society to present to the public a unique, three-day Ghost Hunter University adult summer camp on June 13th, 14th and 15th

Ghostly experiences are to be expected in the French Quarter and the Hotel Maison de Ville is no exception.  Hotel owner Richard Poe II reached out to the Ghosts of Louisiana Paranormal Society (GOLAPS) to launch a full-scale investigation of his and guests' haunted experiences on the grounds and the Ghost Hunting team had positive results.  The GOLAPS team found evidence of spirit life, guests continue to report stories of exciting encounters and the public has expressed enough curiosity to inspire a new, interactive ghost hunter camp to be offered this summer.  Over the course of three days and nights camp-goers will be given a comprehensive guide to paranormal investigation that will include two hands-on ghost hunts, one of which will be on the hotel's premises.

On the first day of summer camp the rich history the Hotel Maison de Ville, once home to such famous individuals as Antoine Amede Peychaud (of Peychaud's bitters) and playwrite Tennessee Williams the property, will be presented to the public in a seminar aimed to prepare the audience for what they may encounter.  GOLAPS founder Brent Solieau will also discuss the differences between orbs, specters, full-body apparitions and other anomalies that may present themselves.  Along with being included in camp tuition this first seminar will also be open to members of the general public at a fee.  The following days will enmesh students of the paranormal in all things ghost hunter.  The GOLAPS team will present detailed instructions on the use of their highly sensitive technical equipment, will walk camp attendees through the entire ghost hunt process, and will teach how to review gathered evidence with a healthy level of skepticism.  The Court of Two Sisters will cater a special dinner for the camp via the adjacent courtyard entry between the two businesses.

According to the GOLAPS website, their "team members are professionals, each with long-standing interests in paranormal and supernatural phenomena.  We have over 100 years combined experience in working with such phenomena, and we offer out investigative services for little or no monetary compensation.  We each have a passion for this and are always seeking new sites to investigate.  Although we most often investigate benign hauntings (which can certainly be frightening for the client), we are fearless and will not hesitate to investigate malevolent hauntings and suspected demonic activity."

Anyone with an interest in New Orleans history and the paranormal, be they well versed in all things haunted or not, is encouraged to attend.  This is not just another New Orleans ghost tour!
