Meet author Susan Morrison, who edited her mother's wartime diary. A smart, astute and funny teenage account and fascinating record of what an everyday American felt and thought during the lead-up to World War II. Joan Wehlen Morrison describes her daily life through recounting headlines and touchstones of the era - FDR's radio addresses, Citizen Kane, Churchill, Hitler, war work and Red Cross meetings. Susan will read selected passages and then sign copies of the book, available for purchase in the Museum Store. For more information call 504-528-1944 x 229.
