Kick off summer reading at The Historic New Orleans Collection

New Summer Book Festival to feature THNOC's publications and four other regional publishers

WHO: The Historic New Orleans Collection with Margaret Media, Pelican Publishing Company, LSU Press and University Press of Mississippi

WHAT: Summer Book Festival

WHEN: Saturday, June 22, 2013 • noon-3:30 p.m.

WHERE: 533 Royal St., French Quarter, New Orleans, La.

HOW: Free and open to the public.

WHY: The Historic New Orleans Collection will hold a one-day book festival June 22 to showcase its latest releases and those of four regional publishing companies, both fiction and nonfiction.

Featuring a curated selection of new books focused on Louisiana history and culture, the festival is designed to promote this region's publishing industry.

Visitors will have the chance to interact with representatives from the presses and learn behind-the-scenes details about the books and the publishing industry.

In addition to The Collection's own books, visitors will be able to purchase books from Margaret Media, Pelican Publishing Company, LSU Press and University Press of Mississippi.
