LifeFEST Comes To Busy Canal Street

Who:   Senior Pastor Debra B. Morton and Greater St. Stephen Ministries

What:  Partners with Nola4Life, Zatarains, Popeyes + More To Host a FREE
          Community Festival On Canal Street

When:  Saturday, June 29th, 2013

Where: 1200 Canal St. (Corner of Canal St. and Elk Place.)

Time:  12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

New Orleans, LA---Greater St. Stephen FGBC and it's community partners are bringing the "Greater Life" to Canal Street, Saturday, June 29th  12:00p-4:00p in the form of an outdoor community festival.  LifeFest is being presented by Greater St. Stephen in conjunction with the mayor's NOLA4Life initiative, Zatarains, Walgreens, Popeyes, Pinkberry, the Ashe Cultural Arts Center and a host of other businesses with hopes of providing the best solutions to motivate and mobilize the community toward living a nonviolent, sustainable life... A Greater Life!

LifeFest aims to bring New Orleanians together in a spirit of peace, festivity and community; while supplying the very resources their individual neighborhoods may be lacking, such as, free food and clothing for the homeless (while supplies last), job placement services for the unemployed, health services to the ill and hope to the hopeless.

As with every great festival in New Orleans, Life Fest will feature great food, meaningful art and live music! But like no other festival the city has seen, Life Fest will bring area leaders, politicians, actors, pastors, businesses and more together to not only stand against the issues that plague our city but to provide solutions and alternative options. This is a party with a purpose!

About Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church
For more than 70 years, Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church has been a catalyst for change and spiritual advancement not only in New Orleans, LA but also in the world. Over the decades, Greater St. Stephen under it's visionaries, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr. and Dr. Debra B. Morton have been known as "The Place Where God Truly Blesses His People",  "One Church In Three Locations" and has "Changed A Generation" as the largest Pentecostal congregation in Louisiana.

Post- Katrina with Dr. Debra B. Morton as Senior Pastor, Greater St. Stephen is now "Changing The Way We Do Church" by declaring that "Greater, Is Not Just Who We Are...It's What We Do!" and inviting everyone to come and "Discover A Greater You".
