Sweet Home New Orleans Presents "The NOLA Soul Review"

(NEW ORLEANS, LA - 1 JULY 2013) - Sweet Home New Orleans will be presenting "The NOLA Soul Review" during Essence Fest in the Den at the Howlin' Wolf on Friday, July 5th, 2013 from 12pm to 5pm. The musical event will feature R&B singer Tonya Boyd-Cannon and DJ HahBruh.

Tonya Boyd-Cannon is a "crowd-drawing, charismatic" R&B singer, whose "vibe and stage presence is witty and dope" and whose amazing voice "with its rich, deep contralto range, can only be described as what happens when silk meets sand." DJ HahBruh spins Soul, R&B, and Funk that makes you say "HahBruh!"

The proceeds will go towards Sweet Home New Orleans's Economic Empowerment Education Program, which teaches New Orleans musicians vital skills for their music business. For more information on the Sweet Home New Orleans Economic Empowerment Education Program, please visit
