HARRAH'S NEW ORLEANS HOSTS ALL-STAR LINEUP FOR "RED, WHITE AND PARTY," ESSENCE FESTIVAL WEEKEND AT MASQUERADE NIGHTCLUB

(NEW ORLEANS) - July 3, 2013 - Partner of the 2013 Essence Music Festival, Harrah's New Orleans is bringing the ultimate Fourth of July party to Masquerade Nightclub for the "Red, White, and Party" beginning Thursday, July 4 through Sunday, July 7 with an all-star performance lineup including, Mannie Fresh, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Irie, DJ Mike Swift and DJ Rob Nice. Doors will open at 10 p.m. nightly and will include a cover charge.

Record producer and hip-hop performer Mannie Fresh and New Orleans' own DJ Mike Swift will kick-off the holiday weekend celebration on Thursday, July 4 by rocking popular hits such as "Number One Stunna" and "Still Fly."  Mannie Fresh, who has been a local New Orleans disc-jockey since age nine, is now a celebrated rapper and reputable hip-hop producer.  He is best known for his work with Cash Money Records, and for playing a critical role in the duo Big Tymers.  DJ Mike Swift, known as the "New Orleans Club King," has made quite a name for himself as the face of the popular local hip-hop station, Power 102.9.

Hip-hop legend DJ Jazzy Jeff will perform on Friday, July 5 spinning his classic old-school style of hip-hop, along with Masquerade's own, DJ Rob Nice.  DJ Jazzy Jeff is best known for his numerous gold and platinum-selling albums he created with Will Smith in the duo, DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince that included hits such as "Parents Just Don't Understand" and "Summertime."  New Orleans' popular disc-jockey and host Rob Nice acquired his own radio show in New Orleans on Q-93 FM and has toured with many well-known artists, including Lil' Wayne and Nelly.

DJ Mike Swift will take the stage again on Saturday, July 6 with the renowned DJ Irie. A musical talent and entertainer, DJ Irie also works as an entrepreneur and philanthropist, opening doors for the disadvantaged youth in South Florida through the Irie Foundation. Wrapping up Essence Festival revelries, Mannie Fresh and DJ Rob Nice will return to Masquerade on Sunday, July 7 to conclude the weekend with a memorable performance, during which DJ Irie's music videos will be played on the two massive 10-foot screens.
