August 1, 2013, New Orleans, LA - Le Petit Theatre's "Lagniappe" production of Love, Loss and What I Wore exceeded expectations with packed houses for all six productions in a newly refurbished space that worked seamlessly alongside the new Tableau restaurant.

"New Orleanians showed their appreciation for community theatre by coming out in full force and they left Le Petit very happy, having enjoyed wonderful performances by nine extremely talented actresses, all of whom share a love of our city and this historic theater," said Cassie Worley, Le Petit Theatre Executive Director. "Our "Lagniappe" production was just what we needed to acclimate to our new surroundings and allowed us to work out a few kinks before our regular season opens with Lombardi. We are in fantastic shape for the upcoming season of five plays."

Over $2,200 was collected over the run of Love, Loss for the New Orleans chapter of Dress for Success through raffle tickets sales. Audience members generously donated loads of women's clothes for the nonprofit, which promotes the economic independence of women by providing professional attire and support.
Now, efforts turn toward the opening of the regular season on September 6 with Lombardi, by Eric Simonson, based on the book "When Pride Still Mattered - A Life of Vince Lombardi" by David Maraniss.

Tickets are now available for eleven performances Sept. 6 - 21. Ticket prices range from $30-$50 with a special discount performance on Wednesday, September 18 at 8pm. Tickets for that Sept. 18 performance are $10-$20. All tickets may be purchased online at www.lepetittheatre.com , at the box office between the hours of 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Wed-Fri and 11am - 6 p.m. on Saturdays or by calling 504-522-2081.

Lombardi, directed by Ron Gural
Ron Gural will direct the play about the legendary Green Bay Packer's Coach Vince Lombardi. A cub reporter is assigned to do a story on Lombardi and is quickly immersed into the very real life of the man on the football field and in his personal life - revealing the passion, the drive, and the unique ability of this powerful figure to push others towards perfection.

New Orleans actor Casey Groves will play the football icon and will be joined on stage by his real-life wife, Rachel Whitman Groves, who will play the part of the coach's wife. Other local actors include Carl Palmer, who will play Jim Taylor, the Green Bay fullback and All American who played college football at LSU. Actors Kevin Songy, Ross Britz and Ian Lawrence will round out the cast.

A 501(c)(3) performing arts organization, Le Petit Theater's mission is to provide a wide range of quality theatrical productions and programming to entertain, enrich and educate the diverse population of the region and enhance the economic vitality of New Orleans.
