On August 26, 1944 the captured crew of a downed B-24 Liberator was escorted through the German town of Russelsheim by their captors. There, a mob of more than 100 people attacked the American soldiers, killing six of them. Assistant Director of Education Nathan Huegen will discuss the mob action and the resulting war crimes trial in which eleven Germans were tried for murder.
