Bourbon Orleans Hotel releases new book with book party:  Kings and Pawns: The Bloodlines of Bourbon Orleans

A landmark historic hotel of the New Orleans Collection is now documented in a book.

NEW ORLEANS October 10, 2013 - The Bourbon Orleans Hotel‘s general manager, Mark Wilson announced the publication of a new book about the hotel this week.   The book by author and artist Laura Kuhn is entitled:  Kings and Pawns: The Bloodlines of Bourbon-Orleans, and traces 200 years of anthropological changes at one address:  717 Orleans Avenue in New Orleans

The Bourbon Orleans Hotel is a landmark of Creole heritage perched at the crossroads of the city's history.   Vice and virtue struggled heroically against political and social standards of the early 19th century here.   The Bourbon Orleans Hotel is an iconic reflection of this period and the city in general.

On Friday October 18, 2013, from 5-7pm, New Orleans Hotel Collection and the Bourbon Orleans Hotel management invite you to celebrate the publication of Kings and Pawns.   Author Laura Kuhn will be on hand to answer questions and sign books for guests, and the hotel will provide light fare in the lobby, and a special cocktail hour in the newly remodeled Bourbon O! Bar.   Reservations are not required.

Kings and Pawns in it's first edition, is available exclusively at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, 1717 Orleans Avenue. Visit www.kings-pawns.com for detailed information.

Valet parking is available at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, 717 Orleans Street.
