Brand New Production Company Announces New Orleans Premiere of

"Evil Dead: The Musical"

"See 'Em On Stage: A Production Company" is excited to present the New Orleans premiere of Evil Dead: The Musical. This satiric musical comedy will run October 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 31 at 8:00 p.m. at The Shadowbox Theatre, located at 2400 St. Claude Avenue, New Orleans, LA, 70117.

This "disarmingly" hilarious stage musical combines all of the elements of the cult classic horror films: The Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness, to make one of the craziest, unique theatrical experiences of all time. 

Evil Dead: The Musical tells the story of five college students who go to an abandoned, secluded cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It's up to Ash (a housewares-employee turned demon killer) and his trusty chainsaw to save the day. Blood flies, limbs are dismembered and demons tell bad jokes ... all while singing and dancing!

You don't need to be a fan of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead movie series to love this show. You don't even need to be a fan of horror movies! This production is directed and choreographed as a loving and ironic homage to upbeat, feel-good Broadway musicals (think Hairspray and Grease meet Little Shop of Horrors), and loaded with clever and hilarious tongue-in-cheek references and nods to theater, television, movies and pop culture; so there is something in this show for everyone to enjoy. As long as you like to laugh and have fun, this show is for you!

The show is under the direction of Christopher Bentivegna; choreography and assistant direction by Lindsey Romig; musical direction by Natalie True (who will be leading a live rock band), with set design and construction by Alex Nassar and Eric Porter, lighting design by Adam Randall, production management by Katie Marie Peters, stage management by Ariel Schwab, assistant stage management by Caroline St. Amant, sound design by Theo Fogleman, and costumes by Tory Ducote. 

Robert Facio stars in the iconic role of Ash. Tiffany Jones, Edward Simon, Abbey Peterson Murrell, Bill Mader, Kali Russell, Charlotte Voelkel, Dwayne Sepcich, and Adam Randall round out the cast providing vibrant, energetic and delightfully over-the-top performances, as well as show-stopping vocals and dancing.

This immersive, interactive theatrical experience is a perfect companion to the Halloween season and will provide audiences with a memorable evening of entertainment. Filmed sequences will enhance the experience and are produced by Sam Cespedes & Little to N.O. Budget Films. Mr. Cespedes also serves as associate producer.
