Irish singing sensations The Priests return to New Orleans

The Priests, a classical music group of three Northern Ireland Catholic priests from the Diocese of Down and Connor, are one of the most recognized and successful acts in both the religious and secular worlds. With increased global fame and a U.S. tour under their belt, Frs. Martin O'Hagan, Eugene O'Hagan and David Delargy return to Loyola University New Orleans Tuesday, Nov. 26 for a special holiday performance.

The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. in the Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall, located in the Communications/Music Complex on the corner of St. Charles Avenue and Calhoun Street.

Tickets for the event are $45 for preferred seating, $30 for reserved seating, $15 for Loyola faculty and staff and $10 for Loyola students. Tickets are available online, by calling 504-865-2074, or at the door 30 minutes prior to the performance. Free parking for the concert is available in the West Road Garage, accessible from St. Charles Avenue.

The Priests, who made their U.S. debut at Loyola in 2012, have received worldwide acclaim and stellar ratings on Billboard's classical music charts. Their self-titled debut album sold at such a pace it secured them a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest-selling classical album debut of all time.

Their audiences have included the British royal family and the Irish president, and in 2010, the trio shared a stage with Pope Benedict XIV before a crowd of 80,000 people in London's Hyde Park. "Raising the Roof," a film about their musical lives, is set for release in 2014.
