TICKETS ON SALE NOW

New Orleans, November 15, 2013 - The Irish Tenors will fill the Saenger Theatre with the sounds of Christmas on Tuesday, December 3. The Irish Tenors, comprised of Finbar Wright, Anthony Kearns and Ronan Tynan, first hit it big in 1999 with their debut PBS show.  Now they have come to New Orleans for their annual Holiday Tour to celebrate Christmas in their unique Irish style.

Finbar Wright
Finbar Wright, tenor, songwriter, and poet, was born in Kinsale, Co. Cork, Ireland. Growing up on a farm, his musical education began at the age of six and he later studied music theory at one of the oldest schools of music in the world, The Cork School of Music. He went on to win many major singing awards and released his first album ‘Because', produced by Phil Coulter, on the Sony Records label.

Since then Finbar has recorded six solo albums and six albums with the world famous Irish Tenors with whom he has enjoyed phenomenal success all around the world. With The Irish Tenors, Finbar has performed all over the world in many prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Irish Tenors have appeared in many successful PBS TV specials.

Anthony Kearns
Anthony Kearns was born in a small Irish village in County Wexford. Anthony's interest in music began at about the age of four and he began singing at an early age. He studied at Leinster School of Music and The College of Music in Wales.

In 1998 he joined The Irish Tenors and has been with the group since its inception. The Irish Tenors have produced ten CDs to date which have sold millions of copies, and have completed several successful tours of the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Anthony is a true lyric tenor. He has incredible vocal agility, flexibility and a sublime natural ability to color notes with grace and beauty. Whether in the realm of the classics or the traditional music of his homeland, the power and clarity in his voice expresses great truth and rich conviction.

Ronan Tynan
Ronan Tynan is a true, modern day renaissance man. Faced with numerous challenges throughout his well-documented life, he has persevered with enormous passion and determination.

Born with a lower limb disability that threatened to sideline him throughout his childhood, Ronan never let that deter his dreams. Though Ronan enjoyed singing as a boy, he did not seriously consider formal voice study until he was 33, when he was well into his residency as a physician. Ronan won both the John McCormack Cup for Tenor Voice and the International Operatic Singing Competition in Maumarde, France. He made his operatic debut as Pinkerton in Puccini's Madame Butterfly. In 1998, he joined The Irish Tenors, an instant worldwide sensation with whom he toured the world.

Tickets for The Irish Tenors Christmas are on sale now. They are available at the theatre box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000.  The Saenger Theatre Box Office is located at 1111 Canal Street, open Mon-Fri 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
