With Reveillon French Dining Tradition, Brunches, Dinners
 

Events Include Festive Feasts for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve

NEW ORLEANS - Nov. 18, 2013 - The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel, will pay tribute to a French dining tradition this holiday season by offering an elegant Reveillon menu in the Fountain Lounge Nov. 29 through Dec. 29 as well as special brunches and dinners.

The cost is $58 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Complimentary valet parking is available for those who dine in the Fountain Lounge. Reservations are available by calling The Roosevelt's Holiday Line at (504) 335-3129 or the Fountain Lounge at (504) 648-5486.

In addition, guests can enjoy the holidays at The Roosevelt by indulging in one of the festive feasts and other attractions at the historic property, including:

  • Thanksgiving Day Brunch
    • Waldorf Astoria Ballroom: 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with seatings every 30 minutes; $75 for adults, $25 for children 6 to 12 years of age and complimentary for children younger than 6
    • Fountain Lounge: A la carte dining with Thanksgiving-inspired dinner specials from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve Four-Course Dinner in the Blue Room
    • 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; $78 per person and $28 for children ages 6 to12
  • Christmas Day Dining
    • Waldorf Astoria Ballroom brunch: 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; $89 for adults, $39 for children 6 to 12 years of age, complimentary for children 5 and younger
    • Fountain Lounge: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.; all-day dinner; $78 per person and $28 for children 6 to 12
  • New Year's Eve Four-Course Dinner and Entertainment in the Fountain Lounge
    • Seatings every 30 minutes from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.; $78 per person
    • Favors provided
    • Entertainment by the Robin Cenac Jazz Trio from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
  • Holiday Cocoa Station in the Main Lobby
    • 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Dec. 1 through 23
    • Traditional and blueberry cinnamon flavors

The four-course, prix fixe Reveillon menu will feature authentic French cuisine, including:

-     First course: White asparagus with fried egg and Parmesan foam, ahi tuna with smoked tomato and spicy fried shallots, or skillet shrimp ham hock jus with okra-tomato butter.

-     Second course: Wild arugula salad with anise-flavored buttermilk, roasted corn, fried enoki and lardons; turtle soup with foie gras torchon; or blue crab and lobster bisque.

-     Third course: Duck Wellington; seared gulf fish with crawfish, crab, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts; or rabbit tenderloin with bacon, andouille and pistachio stuffing and carrot-apple relish.

-     Fourth course: Lemon tart with sablé crumble or chocolate banana crème brulee
