GALATOIRE FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES ITS ‘DRIVE TO A MILLION' CAMPAIGN
TO BENEFIT LOCAL NON-PROFITS THROUGH HOLIDAY TABLE AUCTIONS

Galatoire's hosts annual Christmas and Mardi Gras auctions to benefit Galatoire Foundation, The Idea Village and Café Reconcile

(NEW ORLEANS) - Nov. 13, 2013 - Each year, the Galatoire Foundation Christmas and Mardi Gras auctions assist in achieving the goals of local non-profits, and this year marks a milestone for the fundraisers as the Foundation announces its Drive to a Million campaign.

Started in 2006, the Christmas and Mardi Gras auctions have raised more than $850,000 for local charities. This year's Drive to a Million campaign aims to surpass the million dollar mark with this seasons' auctions.

The two auctions allow customers the opportunity to reserve a table on the restaurant's famed first floor the Fridays before Christmas and Mardi Gras, which are two of the busiest days for Galatoire's. This year's Christmas Auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 2, and the Mardi Gras Auction will be held Jan. 29.

Since 1905, Galatoire's has maintained a strict "no reservation" policy, so the first floor has always been traditionally first come, first serve, making it very sought after during the busy holidays.

This year, proceeds from the two auctions will benefit the Galatoire Foundation, which has been dedicated to giving back to the New Orleans community and region that has patronized Galatoire's for generations; The Idea Village, which supports entrepreneurial talent and their business initiatives in New Orleans; and Café Reconcile, whose mission is to enrich the lives of youth afflicted by poverty, violence and other difficulties by helping them acquire the skills necessary to work in the hospitality industry.

For more information on the Christmas and Mardi Gras Auctions or to RSVP, please contact Christi Broussard at (504) 525-6022. To reserve a paddle, $50 donation is requested. Limited seating is available.

Galatoire's is located at 209 Bourbon Street. Call (504) 525-2021 or visit www.galatoires.com to make reservations or view the entire Galatoire's menu. Regular dining hours are 11:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 12 p.m. - 10 p.m. on Sundays.
