RING IN 2014 AT SUPERIOR SEAFOOD'S NEW YEAR'S EVE BASH

Enjoy New Traditions including Sunday Jazz Brunch and Live Entertainment at Superior Seafood

 

NEW ORLEANS - Dec. 10, 2013 - It's the most wonderful time of the year to be at Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar as the Creole-inspired Louisiana seafood restaurant offers new ways to celebrate the holiday season and the New Year.            

Ring in the New Year at Superior Seafood with champagne, fresh Louisiana classics and live entertainment by John "Papa" Gros from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the annual New Year's Eve Bash on Tuesday, Dec. 31. Beginning at 4 p.m., guests can indulge in a four-course prix fixe menu or choose favorites off the daily menu. Superior Seafood's New Year's Eve four-course menu is priced at $45 exclusive of tax and gratuity and includes an option of wine pairings for an additional $25 per guest. Complimentary champagne will be served to guests as they countdown the minutes and toast to the New Year. Superior Seafood's New Year's Eve four-course dinner includes:

1st Course

Crabmeat Gnocchi

Potato gnocchi in a cream sauce with English peas, prosciutto,

shaved parmesan and lump crabmeat

 

2nd Course

Stuffed Date Salad

Fresh mixed greens and Belgian endive tossed with toasted walnuts in

an herb vinaigrette dressing, topped with goat cheese-stuffed dates

 

3rd Course

*Choose one

 

Stuffed 6oz Filet

Herb cream cheese-stuffed 6oz Filet Mignon, served with

grilled asparagus and a potato gratin

 

Sautéed Halibut

Fresh sautéed Halibut over celery root puree,

glazed pearl onions, baby carrots, roasted fennel and haricot vert,

topped with a mustard beurre blanc sauce

 

4th Course

Chocolate Espresso Semifreddo

Traditional semi-frozen chocolate & espresso flavored mousse

 

Holiday Cobbler

Homemade cobbler filled with fresh pear and cranberry,

topped with crème anglaise

 

The celebration continues on Wednesday, Jan. 1, for New Year's Day Brunch as all are invited to enjoy superior brunch specials and "hangover" cocktails from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. The brunch will also include live entertainment from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.

Beginning January 2014, guests are invited to enjoy Sunday Jazz Brunch from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m., each week. From 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., guests can enjoy traditional brunch favorites with  Cajun and Creole flair, including "Cochon De Lait Benedict," "Eggplant Atchafalaya" and  "Crab Cake Benedict," with a signature superior cocktail in hand, such as "Frozen Mimosa," "Brandy Milk Punch," or "Pagne in the Glass."

Located in the heart of Uptown New Orleans, Superior Seafood offers a scenic backdrop fit for any holiday party with views of the historic Garden District and St. Charles Ave. streetcar line. Whether planning an intimate dinner or large corporate celebration, Superior Seafood can accommodate up to 55 guests in the St. Charles Avenue Porch, 35 guests in the Napoleon Avenue Patio or up to 20 guests in the private dining room. Guests can choose from a variety of superior menu and cocktail items customized to meet your party's needs.

Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar is located at 4338 St. Charles Avenue. The restaurant opens at 11 a.m. - 10 p.m., Monday - Thursday, 11 a.m. - 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Sunday.
