A festive feast with all the trimmings of a southern Christmastime tradition becomes even merrier when the Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group puts its own spin on the classic Louisiana Créole celebration - Redvillion - at Red Fish Grill from December 3-31, 2013.
Red being the universal color for the holidays - from ruby red-ribboned bows and rosy red poinsettias to red and white-striped candy canes, succulent Gulf Coast red fish and plush velvety red Santa Claus hats - the days are decked with the hue that puts you in the holiday spirit.
Red Fish Grill boasts some of Louisiana's favorite recipes from the customary Christmas Eve feast of over 200 years' standing, and make your annual celebration meal glow afresh with chefs Austin Kirzner's show-stopping entrées and a host of knock-out appetizers and desserts. These regional specialties are not exact replicas of a Créole precedent, but are a complement to that rich heritage and will "awaken" your palates. The à la carte menu with prices ranging from $8-$29 will feature dishes such as Duck Confit Louisiana Citrus Salad with Plaquemines Parish Citrus, Baby Arugula, Red Onions, and Goat Cheese Dressing; Grilled Black Drum with Bacon Braised Brussels Sprouts, Roasted Portabella Mushrooms, and Charred Tomato Lobster Beurre Blanc; and Snickerdoodle Apple Cobbler with Snickerdoodle Cookie Streusel and Creole Cream Cheese Ice Cream.
Christmas cheer is then poured lavishly with a crimson signature Redvillion cocktail - a Jingle Julep with house infused Cranberry and Rosemary Simple Syrup featuring Maker's Mark Bourbon and served in the traditional style, over powdery crushed-ice and garnished with fresh cut mint.
