H. Mortimer Favrot Orientation Center
In June 1940, the Italians declared war on the British in Africa. Out-numbered and unlikely to receive sizeable reinforcements of men or desperately needed supplies, the British got creative. When their deceitful charades proved successful, they turned trickery into a profession and created an entirely new agency dedicated to carrying out deception - "A" Force. Join author Whitney Bendeck as she explores "A" Force and the origins of British deception, examining how and why the British employed deception in World War II. Book signing to follow in Museum Store. For more information, call 504-528-1944 x 229.
