Vacation Express Announces Non-Stop Flights from New Orleans to Jamaica

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Vacation Express Announces Non-Stop Flights from New Orleans to Jamaica

Flights to Montego Bay to Start May, 2014

(NEW ORLEANS, LA) - Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and Vacation Express, one of the largest tour operators in the southeast United States with over 22 years' experience in the charter business, announced non-stop seasonal flights between New Orleans and Montego Bay, Jamaica.  The flights, starting on May 17, 2014 include a six night stay.  The Saturday flights will depart in the early morning and return in late afternoon, giving vacationers more beach time on the first and last night of their vacation. Vacation Express successfully offered non-stop service to Cancun, Mexico from New Orleans during the summer of 2013.  The Cancun flights will also resume for the summer of 2014 with the increased frequency of twice weekly flights.

Teaming with romance and beauty, Jamaica has become one of the most popular destinations for honeymoons, and now families. The picturesque beaches of Negril, Ocho Rios, Montego Bay and Trelawney/Runaway Bay are favorites of those wishing to relax and enjoy the sun, waves and sand of this gorgeous island. The new charter air service to the popular vacation destination will be aboard a Miami Air B737-700 aircraft that has a seating capacity of 150 passengers (8 First Class and 142 Coach seats).

New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu said, "This announcement is proof of the growing demand for service in the New Orleans region as we continue to build a world-class airport. The additional flights will introduce exciting new destinations for those traveling to and from our region and we believe the service will be well received by our community."

"International service is very important to our community and we look forward to once again partner with this quality service," said New Orleans Aviation Board Chairwoman Cheryl Teamer.

"Their introduction of this new international air service to New Orleans will be a win-win for both the operator and our community."

"This is our third international route announced in the last two years with non-stop service to Toronto, Canada and Cancun, Mexico which are already in service now" said Iftikhar Ahmad, Director of Aviation at Armstrong International Airport. "We stress that our community needs to utilize these flights so that we can increase our international routes."

Tickets for Jamaica and Cancun can be purchased at www.vacationexpress.com or by calling 1-800-309-4717.
