While Phil's Grill is certainly known for its award-winning burgers, owner Phil de Gruy and Executive Chef Justin Jones are giving observant diners reason to eat out.  Specialty Lenten dishes, available Ash Wednesday through Easter Sunday, include Ahi Tuna with Garden Vegetables - delightfully seasoned and grilled Ahi Tuna with an array of market veggies; and Zapp'd Catfish - Zapp's crusted catfish fillet served on French bread with house-made tartar sauce, pickles, lettuce and tomato.  Both dishes are available for $10.99 and include a side dish such as grilled corn on the cob, sweet potato fries, steamed veggies or spicy potato salad. Certified by Ochsner Hospital and Elmwood Fitness Center as an official Eat Fit NOLA restaurant, Phil's Grill also offers plenty of gluten free and other smart menu options that are perfect for a Lent diet, including Burger Swaps - grilled tuna, veggie burger, and grilled portobello mushroom, served on whole grain bun or iceberg lettuce bun, with side of grilled or steamed veggies. Phil's Grill Lent Specials are available Ash Wednesday through Easter Sunday at all three outposts of Phil's Grill: 3020 Severn Avenue in Metairie; 1640 Hickory Avenue in Harahan; and the newest location at 748 Camp Street in New Orleans.
