Musician Backgrounds

The Yat Pack is a New Orleans-based band modeled on the 60's Vegas Swing Era. They perform classic big band numbers by Sinatra, Prima, Dean Martin, and Bobby Darin as well as contemporary artists like Michael Bublé, Billy Joel, Joe Cocker and Harry Connick Jr. They also mix in a healthy dose of New Orleans R&B and traditional jazz. The Yat Pack delivers diversity, style and class.

The Messy Cookers Jazz Band is one of the hottest, new traditional jazz/swing groups in New Orleans. The band consists of 6 members, Alex Owen on trumpet, Russel Ramirez on trombone, Christopher Johnson on reeds, Benny Amon on drums, Tate Carson on bass, and David Bandrowski on guitar and banjo. The band was formed by Benny Amon and Alex Owen, who were both looking to play traditional jazz and swing music. Soon the band grew to include many other members on the scene.

Glen David Andrews , a native son of New Orleans, started on the bass drum as a child. Andrews soon picked up the trombone and was blowing a joyful noise by the time he was 12. He practiced his musicianship and showmanship with the city's most energetic brass bands, from New Birth and L'il Rascals to ReBirth and Treme. That presence and sweetness have long endeared Andrews to audiences at his regular gigs around New Orleans. In recent years, he began making waves as a headliner at the world's biggest block party - the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. His new album, Redemption, will be released this year.

Creole Sweet Tease Burlesque mixes traditional burlesque and traditional New Orleans jazz to provide a unique, classy experience that reverts back to the days of Storyville when hot jazz and burlesque were king! Starring the charming original comedian/magician, "Magic" Mike Dardant, the top Burlesque Show performers in the world: Trixie Minx, Roxie LeRouge, Piper Marie, and Madame Mystere, and the top jazz musicians in New Orleans, The Creole Syncopators featuring Jayna Morgan on vocals, Tom Fischer on clarinet/saxophone, Joe Kennedy on piano, Kerry Lewis on bass, and Gerald French on drums.

Built in 1909 and located on Canal Street at Burgundy Street in the world famous New Orleans French Quarter, the historic landmark Audubon Building has been totally renovated and re-christened as The Saint Hotel. Striking a balance between its storied past and limitless future, The Saint Hotel provides the ultimate luxury lifestyle destination, following a $45 million dollar purchase and transformation. The property reflects a new and contemporary spirit and look while staying true to important designs and traditions, such as the opulent grandeur of the Beaux Arts décor and era. The 166-room, 5-suite, 8-story Saint Hotel includes 320 sq. ft. modern guest rooms; 1450 sq. ft. of meeting and special event space; Tempt, a modern American restaurant; and the Burgundy Bar offering live jazz saluting the sounds of Louis Armstrong.

This one-of-a-kind property provides memorable experiences and surprises with a spontaneous, haute bohemian eclectic, eccentric and edgy sophistication for even the most sophisticated traveler. Ideal for leisure or business, The Saint Hotel is located on the Canal Street streetcar line and a short walk from the French Quarter's charming galleries, boutiques, antique shops, and music-filled nightclubs while also convenient to the Riverwalk, Saenger Theatre, Saks Fifth Avenue, the Aquarium of the Americas and Harrah's Casino.
