THE ANNUAL RT BOOKLOVERS CONVENTION AND 700 AUTHORS BRING "THE BIG READ" TO THE BIG EASY!

The 2014 RT Booklovers Convention kicks off at the Marriott Hotel on Canal Street on Tuesday, May 13 and ends on Sunday, May 18.

The big draw is FAN-tastic Day on Saturday, May 17th, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. FAN-tastic Day is all about readers with tons of giveaways - book addicts are encouraged to bring an empty suitcase for all the free books, purchased books and giveaways. The FAN-tastic Day pass is only $55.

More than 700 authors, representing 15 genres will sell and sign copies of their novels in two gigantic ballrooms. Meet New York Times bestselling authors like E L James (Fifty Shades of Grey), Veronica Roth (Divergent), Charlaine Harris (HBO's True Blood series) Heather Graham, Debbie Macomber, Francis Rivers, Brenda Jackson and dozens of local authors and hundreds more. This is New Orleanians' chance to mix and mingle with their favorite authors. The book fair is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost to the book fair is only $5 bucks, but all library patrons get in free by showing their current library cards to the book fair only.

Parents are invited to bring teens, between the ages 13 to 18, for the Teen Day program. It's packed with a day of games, plenty of prizes and book giveaways, is sponsored by HarperTeen and popular YA authors. Don't miss it! The Teen Day pass is only $30.

To request an author interview or a press badge, please contact Pat Simmons via email or cell. For more information about this not-to-be-missed book event, visit www.RTconvention.com.

The Annual RT BOOKLOVERS Convention is brought to you by RT BOOK REVIEWS the magazine for fiction lovers with more than 250 new books reviewed in every issue, author interviews, book news, gossip and more.
