Celebrating a Decade of Good Golf at TPC Louisiana

AVONDALE, La. - TPC Louisiana opened its doors in 2004 and this year celebrates its 10-year anniversary by offering the 10 Year Tee Off Package. A legend in the Big Easy, TPC Louisiana has continually brought award-winning championship golf to the vibrant charm of New Orleans. The course boasts a series of triumphs over the past decade, including overcoming the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and continuous inclement weather thereafter. Unwavering poise prevailed as TPC Louisiana proved resilient and has hosted the PGA TOUR's Zurich Classic of New Orleans since 2005, raising $11 million for charity, and hosting many other events throughout the year. This driven decade continues as TPC Louisiana celebrates with the 10 Year Tee Off package.

Starting at $518*, per night

10 Year Tee Off Package Includes:

  • Luxury accommodations at Astor Crowne Plaza in downtown New Orleans
  • Playing like you're on TOUR, with championship golf at TPC Louisiana
  • All-inclusive round-trip transportation to/from TPC Louisiana

As the region's headquarters of professional golf, TPC Louisiana offers an unparalleled experience of the sport, in addition to a symbolic statue of vitality in the area. TPC Louisiana is open to the public and features a renowned championship golf course yielding 18 professional-level holes, meticulously maintained to the PGA TOUR's highest standards of operation.

Master architect Pete Dye, working in partnership with TOUR players Steve Elkington and Kelly Gibson, crafted the course on a site that was initially flat and with limited topography. The area now houses a bountiful stretch of land that is refined and full of features, but is also a compelling test of golf with a more open and strategic layout that is equally entertaining for the average player. Ample to Pete Dye's "thinking-man" style, the golf course is furnished with more than 100 bunkers, including several large waste bunkers on the first six holes of the back nine followed by a series of short and engaging par-4 holes. Five sets of tees offer golfers of all skill levels a great blend of challenge and playability.

The homeland of the course, New Orleans, headlined in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005. Defaced by two hurricanes in the same year, TPC Louisiana suffered catastrophic damage from Katrina as more than 2,000 mature cypress and oak trees alongside 30 acres of fairway turf were lost in the flood. The course was closed for almost a year after the storm during a $2 million renovation, returning back to its former glory in 2006.

Located in Avondale, just 15 miles from the bustle of the Big Easy and Bourbon Street, TPC Louisiana was named "the No. 4 Best Upscale Public Golf Course" by Golf Digest magazine when it opened back in 2004 and is consistently included in GolfWeek's "Best Courses You Can Play" each year. The golf course, which is part of the Audubon Golf Trail, stretches across 250 acres of wetlands along the Mississippi River delta. Championship golf is just the start of what makes TPC Louisiana's golf experience so extraordinary. TPC Louisiana extends the familiar hospitality of New Orleans, offering exclusive services and amenities including fine dining, one-stop-shopping at the Golf Shop - named one of the Top 100 Golf Shops in North America - outstanding customer service and a beautifully appointed clubhouse that is setting the stage for endless event options, supplying TPC Louisiana guests with the best of the bayou.

The TPC Network is comprised of premier private, resort and daily fee golf properties that have hosted or been designed to host TOUR-sponsored golf tournaments, including THE PLAYERS Championship at the PGA TOUR's flagship property, TPC Sawgrass, and the Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale, the highest attended tournament on the PGA TOUR.
