LE PETIT THEATRE ANNOUNCES 2014-15 SEASON
Season Subscriptions on Sale to the Public May 6

April 29, 2014, New Orleans, LA - The Board of Governors of Le Petit Théâtre du Vieux Carré announced its 2014-15 season, consisting of five productions - a vibrant mix of drama, comedy and musicals. The season opens on September 5, 2014 and runs through June 6, 2015, and will once again employ all local actors and crews.
"Le Petit presents an eclectic season with something for everyone," said Le Petit Theatre Executive Director Cassie Steck Worley. "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike is a hilarious new comedy straight from Broadway. Peter and the Starcatcher is a prequel to Peter Pan and is a must-see for kids and adults. We are proud to present the rock opera classic, Jesus Christ Superstar and the Pulitzer Prize winning play, Dinner with Friends, and we end our season with a Stephen Sondheim musical, Merrily We Roll Along," Worley said.
2014-15 season subscriptions will go on sale to the public beginning May 6 via the theatre's website (http://www.lepetittheatre.com/) and the box office. During the regular season, individual tickets for each production will go on sale one month prior to opening night. Tickets for the upcoming production of Death of a Salesman are now on sale. The Pulitzer Prize-winning drama runs May 9-24. The current 2013-14 season closes out with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, July 11-26.

In this regional premiere of Christopher Durang's uproarious Tony Award winning comedy, middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia share a home where they bicker and complain about their lives. Suddenly, their movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike, and the fun begins.
Auditions May 19 - Director Ron Gural will hold auditions on Monday, May 19 at Le Petit for Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Auditions will be held from 6pm - 8pm for the following roles:
Vanya - Male, late 40s - 60s
Sonia - Female, late 40s - 60s
Masha - Female, late 40s - 60s
Spike - Male, 18-30, athletic build
Nina - Female, late teens - 20s
Cassandra - Female, 25 - 55, a "prophetess"
Auditioners should prepare a comic monologue no longer than two minutes. The theatre is located at 616 St. Peter St. on the corner of Chartres Street.
