During its Annual Membership Meeting on Wednesday January 28, 2015, the Louisiana Travel Promotion Association (LTPA) announced the winners of the Louey Awards, which honor and showcase individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the Louisiana tourism industry. San Francisco Plantation was the recipient of the 2015 Travel Attraction of the Year Award. The Travel Attraction of the Year Award is presented to an attraction, museum, historic site, tour organization, etc. that delivers memorable experiences, meets visitor expectations, appeals to a wide range of travelers, understands the value of partnerships and consistently draws visitors to Louisiana. Tailored group itineraries and popular events like Frisco Fest have visitors taking notice of this opulent plantation home. Visitors are taken on an emotional trip into the plantation's past that illuminates the colorful history of Louisiana from a variety of perspectives. Guides discuss southern culture, the sugar-making economy, architecture, and the female experience in the Old South.

San Francisco Plantation will host its 12th Annual "Frisco Fest" Spring Garden & Craft Festival on March 7 & 8, 2015. This year's festival promises to be better than ever and has so much to offer for the whole family: Over 100+ Crafters & Artists, delicious Cajun & Creole Cuisine, Master Gardener Clinics, Jr. Art Expo, and Kids Activities which include Pony Rides, a Petting Zoo, Inflatables, Rock Climbing, and Bungee Trampolines. Frisco Fest is also packed full of special events. Saturday features the Tour De' San Francisco Bike Race along scenic River Road, and the Cruisin' The Plantation Car Show. Sunday includes a 5k run, a 1-mile run, and live music by Geno Delafose & The French Rockin Boogie from 12PM-3PM. All of the excitement takes place on the picturesque grounds of San Francisco Plantation, and tours of the historic house are available throughout the weekend. Don't miss this spectacular festival! Gates are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Frisco Fall Festival will be held October 24 & 25, 2015
