This Halloween weekend music lovers will meet at New Orleans City Park to join in on one of the biggest festivals New Orleans city has to offer - Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, October 30-November 1.
The festival, which began in 1999, has grown tremendously, rivaling even Jazz Fest for attendance and big-name entertainment. But Voodoo is not just a festival - it's an experience. In addition to a wide variety of music on two main stages and several smaller stages, Voodoo features vendors with local wares ranging from jewelry to art.
This year's line-up includes nationally-recognized performers, including Ozzy Osbourne, Zac Brown Band, Florence + the Machine, Modest Mouse and Jane's Addiction alongside local acts such as Flow Tribe, Mississippi Rail Company, Tysson and many more.
Art is taking a more prominent role at this year's festival. Installations both large and small, along with art for sale, will be at the fest for all to enjoy.
Voodoo is a favorite among locals and visitors. With the dates set near Halloween, many festival-goers show up to the festival in their costumes. But in a city like New Orleans, no one needs a reason to wear festive attire!
