New Orleans’ Bourbon Street is world famous
for its nightlife, but it is also home to many residents. They live in Creole and Victorian houses over
a century old. Their homes are furnished
with antiques, stylish contemporary furniture, artworks and collectibles. Five
of these homes, seldom seen by thousands of French Quarter tourists, will be
open to the public Sunday, May 27, from 1 to 5 p.m. for the annual “Treasures
of Bourbon Street” house tour.
Tickets
are $15 and will be sold only on the day of the tour at 1440 Bourbon St. and
818 Ursulines St. Ticket sales will begin at 1 p.m. with the last ticket sold
at 3:30p.m.
