Bring your new bike, or your old bike from the garage, and get it
registered for free! Normal license cost is $3.00 plus a notarized affidavit is required for
bikes without receipts. That can cost up to $35.00! Get it all done at once, for free with
us. The Fraternal Order of Police and Bike Easy are teaming up with the NOPD 3rd
District to hold a Bicycle Registration and Bicycle Safety Course.
Bike Easy is providing the notary, and Fraternal Order of Police is paying the license fee.
The purpose of this event is to allow children and their families to register the new
bicycles they received as gifts on Christmas, or old bikes they have not yet registered, at
no cost. We also hope to educate new bicycle owners on the safe operation of their
bicycles and best locking practices.
Feeling a little rusty? From 11:00am – 1:00pm Bike Easy will be holding a free bicycle
safety class for all ages. Learn drills, skills and practices that will keep you safer while
you ride. More details and RSVP at http://bikeeasy.org/events/archives/768/
Special Guest McGruff the Crime Dog will be on hand for photographs.
