Delta States Grand Prix of Cyclocross

October 19, 2013

2013 marks the inaugural year for the Delta States Grand Prix of Cyclocross (DSGP). The 5-race series will host events across the entire Louisiana and Mississippi region during the months of October, November and December with the final race serving as the District Championships. We will crown not only the champions of our district who will have the opportunity to represent LAMBRA at USA Cycling’s Cyclocross National Championships, but also the series’ points champions in their respective categories.

DSGP is the first large-scale race series of its kind to be organized and promoted in the Louisiana / Mississippi region, and shall serve to introduce riders to the discipline of ‘cross racing and expose them to the energy, enthusiasm and fun of this quintessentially "European" style of racing.

RACE LOCATION: New Orleans City Park:

Course is located in the area just south of
Harrison between Wisner and Diagonal. On street parking is available on Diagonal, and is just a
short ride to the course. Please DO NOT park in Pan Am Stadium, or along Wisner or Harrison.
These areas need to stay clear for normal course of traffic (both cars & bikes).

EVENT DISCIPLINE: This is a cyclocross race. We have categories for riders of all experience
and skill levels. Mountain bikes will be allowed to race in all categories. Singlespeed bikes
can ride in all categories, but there is a specific single speed category as well. ALL LEGAL &
MECHANICALLY SAFE BICYCLES MAY RACE!
