It's time for the food and music extravaganza known as Bucktober Wednesdays at Deanie's Seafood in Bucktown, 1713 Lake Ave., from 6-8 p.m., with free live music and a menu full of our famous seafood specials every Wednesday in October. The Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation is beneficiary of Deanie's Bucktober Wednesdays series.
One of New Orleans' favorite seafood restaurants, Deanie's in Bucktown will serve up drink specials and special dishes including charbroiled oysters and smoked brisket alongside the restaurant's full menu.

Led by singer/songwriter Scott Schmidt (currently lead singer of The Boogie Men), the Scott Schmidt Band plays a mix of original and classic rock and soul covers. Schmidt has a new CD, Timepiece," offering 11 rock & soul originals.
Oct. 30 Shamarr Allen and the Underdawgs
Shamarr Allen is a native New Orleanian, entertainer, producer, trumpeter and cultural ambassador. Allen and the Underdawgs perform all original music blending jazz, funk, hip-hop, rock and pop, including songs from their upcoming album "True Orleans."
