Harry Mayronne and Pandora Gastelum present their solo shows in a double bill

program at the Mid City Theatre.  Mayronne’s multilingual show “From Buffa’s to

Berlin” features tales of his adventures in Paris and Berlin where he performed (as a

puppeteer) at the Berliner Ensemble in Nina Hagen’s all Brecht program.

Gastelum’s show “The City that Care Forgot” (tales of old New Orleans) is told

through the use of marionettes and shadow puppetry. Harry and  Pandora met

during a production of “The Threepenny Opera”. He was Musical Director and she

was a featured performer. There they discovered their mutual love of puppetry.

Both create their own puppets (Harry has even created a tiny puppet version of

Pandora).  Both of their upcoming shows involve story, song, and puppetry.
