The Hospitality Industry Celebrates NOLA FOR LIFE

March 27, 2014
  • Location: New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center - Great Hall
  • Address: 900 Convention Center Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70130
  • Times: 6pm-8pm

New Orleans is on a roll. We just hosted a spectacular NBA All-Star Game followed by Mardi Gras, we are winning prominent business and tourism awards, our economy is strong, a game-changing biomedical corridor is underway and our dynamic Mayor was just re-elected! And, our murder rate is at a 30-year low, which is great news for all those who call New Orleans a place to live, work and play. That's why the hospitality industry is coming together to support the city's comprehensive murder reduction strategy - NOLA FOR LIFE.

Mayor Landrieu launched NOLA FOR LIFE in October 2012 as one of his top priorities to enhance public safety throughout the City. For nearly two years, NOLA FOR LIFE has successfully implemented 34 initiatives designed to rebuild neighborhoods, promote jobs, improve the police department and invest in prevention through school and family outreach, education and mentorship. Today, thousands of local volunteers, as well as law enforcement officials, service providers, faith and educational leaders, and corporate partners have committed to building safe neighborhoods and creating pathways for opportunity.

On Thursday, March 27, industry members will join together to support NOLA FOR LIFE with a fundraiser celebration including food, music and open bar. We encourage all industry members to come out in support of this great cause and learn more about how NOLA FOR LIFE is benefiting our community. Please mark your calendar!
