Slightly Stoopid will be bringing their signature San Diego vibe to New Orlean’s Joy Theater during Jazz Fest.
“San Diego’s Slightly Stoopid grounds it’s sound in reggae and laid-back hip-hop, adding in dashes of brightly-flavored ska and hefty psychedelic rock”-NPR
Slightly Stoopid formed in 1995, and were signed to Bradley Nowell’s (Sublime) Skunk Records while still in high school. At the time, being signed to Skunk was like being knighted by Nowell, and Slightly Stoopid has been wielding the SoCal sword ever since. Blending rock, blues, hip-hop, metal and funk-Slightly Stoopid keeps crowds dancing around the globe.
In 2012 Slightly Stoopid added Karl Denson of Greyboy Allstars as their “unofficial” eighth member, and he has been adding the funk flavor ever since. Funky, laid-back and danceable, Slightly Stoopid will surely satisfy Jazz Fest attendees searching for a late night party.
