A photography exhibit showcasing the beautiful and diverse coast of Ireland will be on display this month at the Irish Cultural Museum of New Orleans. Jewellery Box - Irish Hidden Gems, a collection of works by Irish photographer Daragh Muldowney will be exhibited on Fridays and Saturdays in May and by appointment.
Muldowney traveled the seventeen counties that touch the coast of Ireland with a 30-year-old Canon camera and a macro lens to capture the richness of the magical world of the rock pools at low tide. Over 63 days he shot hundreds of images that document a fantastic microcosmic world. The collection of abstract images provide art and photography enthusiasts with an opportunity to see a unique and beautiful aspect of the Emerald isle that has been largely unexplored.
