- New Orleans is a town rich in musical history and has long influenced musical styles throughout the nation. In celebration of New Orleans' jazz heritage, the New Orleans Steamboat Company is thrilled to announce its 4th Annual Steamboat Stomp traditional jazz festival in New Orleans. The three-day program will feature some of the world's finest musicians performing New Orleans-style jazz on one of the last authentic steamboats still operating in the United States.
Designed for jazz enthusiasts, the Steamboat Stomp events kick off with an opening concert on Friday night followed by Saturday afternoon festivities, a NATCHEZ Dinner Jazz Cruise on Saturday night and a Jazz Brunch cruise on Sunday.
Venues for Friday night and Saturday afternoon along with the musician lineup will be announced soon. Among the performing musicians last year were Paolo Alderighi and Stephanie Trick, Yerba Buena Stompers, Duke Heitger's Steamboat Stompers, Banu Gibson and the Hot Jazz Band, Dukes of Dixieland
