RiverBarge Excursion Lines, Inc. is on schedule and offering all of their 2006 excursions. During Hurricane Katrina, the 198-guest R/B River Explorer was visiting Cape Girardeau, Mo. and sustained no damage.
From New Orleans, the barge will operate its scheduled Delta South and Cajuns and Creoles excursions with its winter and spring itineraries.
The areas where the R/B River Explorer makes its destination landings along the Texas Gulf Coast – including Galveston and Port Isabel – were spared from Hurricane Rita. It will continue its popular Route of Jean Lafitte adventures, a favorite for bird watchers, from Jan. 16 through Feb. 26, 2006, before returning to New Orleans in late February. |
