National Automobile Dealers Association, January 2014
"Our experience in New Orleans was tremendous. With billions of dollars' worth of improvements and upgrades, the city is better and more inviting than ever!
The CVB and New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center staff was amazing and worked closely with us every step of the way. The cooperation between the sales and event staff, operations department, shuttle bus company, security and IT teams was great - it was clear to us how hard everyone worked to make it a great event. Thanks to awesome teamwork, we had exhibitors telling us that it was the best convention center that they've ever worked with.
With 22,000 attendees, we filled nearly all of the hotels and the staff went over and above to welcome our attendees and make them feel comfortable.
This wasn't our first time in New Orleans and we can't wait to be back in 2017 for our 100th Anniversary! Thanks to the CVB and everyone in the city for embracing the NADA and making our event such a huge success."
- Stephen Pitt, Vice President, Conventions & Expositions, National Automobile Dealers Association, Convention & Expo, January 2014
AmericanHort, January 2014
"My colleagues came back from New Orleans absolutely raving about the city, the hotel and the hotel staff. We all know that the weather last week was a challenge for our attendees as well as New Orleans. Thank you for being so flexible and for willing to work with our staff to make it a great event. Your updates about the city and the weather were invaluable in keeping our staff and attendees in the loop as to what was going on. You continually went above and beyond."
- Margaret McGuire-Schoeff, CMP, Event Designer, AmericanHort: The Consolidation of ANLA and OFA, January 2014
"Oh Wow!! You are making this much easier for us! It's great to know that we have such resources available even though we are not a large corporation."
-Lorena Dumas Guntner, La Milonga Que Faltaba, Inc.
The Clean Show, June 2013
"Clean 2013 was a success. It's no small task presenting an industrial trade show featuring working equipment that uses the full spectrum of utilities an exhibition hall offers. Much credit goes to the extraordinary staff of the New Orleans Morial Convention Center. Thanks also to the people at the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau for always being ready to help us, and for being such welcoming hosts."
-Paul Philips, Exhibits & Housing Mgr, Clean 2013 / World Educational Congress for Laundering and Drycleaning
"Throughout the course of my career I have had the pleasure of working with a number of top tier destinations. None have matched the level of service and professionalism that we experienced during the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) this past April. The city of New Orleans, the convention center, hotel/hospitality community and the staff of the NOCVB were all gracious hosts for our event. The feedback from the National Kitchen and Bath Association membership, our attendee community and exhibitors have echoed this same sentiment. Our experience was top notch and I would recommend this destination to any event organizer interested in a one of a kind event experience. Thank you New Orleans!"
-Brian Pagel, Vice President, Kitchen and Bath Group
"Having never been to Louisiana, my entire perception of New Orleans was - what else - Mardi Gras. But the city is so much more! History, culture, diversity, food, antiques, music. The CVB staff is arguably the best in the country; responsive, knowledgeable, professional, but with a warmth that makes you feel like they've got your back. My Convention Sales Manager and Convention Services Account Executive both sought creative and unique solutions to my ideas (no matter how whacky), and, in the end, offered the best and entirely successful options for my group."
-LG, Meeting Planner for trade association
"After hosting the CIES 2013 conference in New Orleans, we have heard nothing but positive feedback about the hotel, the offsite venues and the city itself from our attendees. The assistance the CVB provided us with through every step of the way was priceless and helped to ensure a successful conference. We also enjoyed the "local flare" that your onsite helpers brought to our conference. They were all delightful to work with as well as knowledgeable and were flexible on their duties and work hours as needed.
Overall, NOLA was the perfect venue for this conference!"
-Brandi Host, Senior Conference Coordinator
"As an independent meeting planner for more than 20 years, I have frequently worked with CVB's in cities throughout the US. Although most are helpful, I was very impressed with the New Orleans CVB, even though my group was only 80 attendees. From my very first contact, straight though the meeting, everyone at the CVB went above and beyond to help me out, as I was not very familiar with New Orleans and only had been there a few times many years ago. During my two site visits, they gave me their full attention and escorted me around the city, making sure I had all the information I needed before arriving and during my stay. The meeting was most successful, thanks to all the assistance and guidance I received from the members of the NOCVB. As a result, I would definitely bring other groups to the city, should the occasion arise."-Nancy Church, CMP, President, The Conference Co., Inc.
"We appreciate the creative marketing and all the ideas that came from the CVB on how to build attendance. Your idea to bring small groups and meetings to New Orleans paid off. You did an outstanding job!"
-Cindy Airhart, CAE, Director, Division of Convention & Meeting Services
"We have received exceptional service from the New Orleans CVB. They have exceeded my expectations and I thank you for that. Tara has done an unbelievable job with our website and mass email "What to Know before you Go" and Rachel has been there for my every question (and there have been a lot of them!). It has made such a difference and I know our attendees are so excited and will see more of the city and have more information because I have worked so closely with the CVB."
-Jennifer Thomas, Event Coordinator
"We love working with the New Orleans Morial Convention Center, and the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau staff makes everything easy, ensuring that our needs are taken care of"
-Pamela Henry, Senior Director
"On behalf of the ANUA Board, I wanted to take the time and thank you for all the services the bureau provided us in marketing our recent conference in New Orleans. I can attest, your organization goes above and beyond what similar organizations in others cities do in working with groups our size that come in for conferences. The postcards and website helped us to attract a much larger crowd than we anticipated. Everyone thought New Orleans was a very fun city with plenty to do and very accommodating to visitors."
-Gary Tendick, ANUA Secretary/Treasurer
"Thank you so much for all you did to help us with our recently held conference in New Orleans. We loved using the marketing tools, especially the newsletter and postcards. We also got a lot of positive feedback on our customized page at your site. It was great for us to build excitement for our conference and for the city of New Orleans! Our attendees wanted to make the most of their trip to New Orleans and you helped them do just that!
It was a pleasure to work with all of you- you promptly answered our questions, held our hands through the site set-up and made the whole conference planning experience a little easier. Thank you again!"
-Madalyn Hillis-Dineen, Co-Coordinator, United Astrology Conference
"What a fantastic job the NOLA CVB and the entire hospitality community did in welcoming our attendees to your city! NOLA is one of my personal favorite domestic cities...stayed for a couple days after the conference and ate my way through the city."
