New Orleans is a better destination than ever. All of the new restaurants and venues made it hard to choose the best options. The Loews did a spectacular job. What an wonderful hotel, and such a great team. All of the restaurants that we visited: August, Brennan's, Acme, Compere Lapin, Emerils and Peche outdid themselves and each other.

ACTE's CareerTech VISION, held at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, was the most successful event that we have had since 2010 in terms of attendance. Our annual conference, held in New Orleans, April 1-5, 2015, was wonderfully successful, with our numbers peaking at 1,300 people registered. With exhibitors and speakers, we can add another 400 people to that group, making a total meeting population of about 1,800 people.
As you know, our staff is small and, several years out, we rely heavily on excellent personnel at the host hotel and on a small cadre of support service providers that we engage on a regular basis. So, I want to take a moment now to thank each of you for supporting our 2015 Annual Medical Education Conference (AMEC). New Orleans is a wonderful place to hold a meeting or just to visit and we are always happy to have the opportunity to hold our program there. We can’t wait to come again!

We had a lovely event in New Orleans! One particular highlight that should be shared is that we contacted the Master Gardeners in your area and invited them to join us for a Consumer Panel. I led the panel, and it was such a hit that our next event will have another local Consumer Panel. We all had a great time with the Louisiana Master Gardeners. We asked them about their experiences/history with gardening and their experiences with online retailers. They were wonderfully rich sharing their stories. We could have gone on for hours! It was mutually beneficial for Direct Gardening Association and the gardeners. It was a great opportunity for our attendees to hear the challenges faced with the heat.
Our hotel was not just lovely but in a wonderful location for food, fun and frolicking. The staff was attentive and fun. The chef brought my teammate a king cake on the last day. The ambiance of your city was just as delightful as every story ever told! Charming.

What great week I had in New Orleans. Pittcon 2015 was a resounding success if measured by the participants reviews, especially the exhibitors. Two weeks ago I would have said that I was dreading the trip to New Orleans but after visiting your city and working with the AWESOME folks at The Westin, Mardi Gras World, Jean Lafitte Swamp Tours, Pat O'Brien's and Royal Carriages I have to say I was very, very wrong. Now it's... NOLA, what a GREAT city.
