McKesson ideaShare

"McKesson ideaShare was hosted in New Orleans for the first time in over 20 years. Our customers enjoyed the city and all it had to offer. The feedback has been extremely positive and the experience was good. We will consider New Orleans again as a host city in the future. Thank you for helping to make our show a success!"

The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) Convention & Exposition, April 2017

The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) was one of the first trade associations that brought conventions back to New Orleans after the storm. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to return to the Crescent City in April 2017 to find a venue that is better set to host our 4,300+ domestic and international attendees than ever before. It showed in the city's beauty, it showed in its hospitality, and in the end it showed in our numbers.

Typically, ISRI's largest shows are in Las Vegas. We plan for lower attendance outside of that city. For only the second time in our history, our convention attendance in New Orleans exceeded the previous year's Las Vegas attendance (it happened once before coming out of Vegas into San Diego).

Convention success requires a great convention center, but it also requires a destination that interests our attendees. The variety of nightlife and the food available in New Orleans truly made this an enjoyable - and profitable - event. Everyone was pleased to see the new life in the Warehouse (Arts) district, the variety and quality of new restaurants in the city, and the overall energy that is better than ever.

As a planner, the level of attention we received from convention center management and from the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau was truly appreciated. There are few venues in the country that can rival the support offered - and delivered - by these teams.

Thanks for a terrific event. ISRI looks forward to returning for another great show in future years!

Marriott International, GM's Conference, March 23-April 4, 2017

Our 4,000-person conference became a citywide for the first time this year. With over 15+ Marriott hotels within walking distance to the convention center, other unique venues for evening events, many community service opportunities, the excitement and history of the city, and the phenomenal weather and food - there was no better place! New Orleans helped us achieve all our conference goals!

Maximizing Millennial Minds, June 2017 LSBDC

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center takes pride in being able to represent the state at a national level by hosting the Maximizing Millennial Minds (M3) conference, and what better place to show off this great state than the Big Easy. New Orleans is a place that welcomes all and its culture will add a level of engagement to our attendees' experience.

ESOMAR World Congress, October 2016

The event was great!! We had a good turn out, the people loved the location and the city did a parade on the first Congress day going to a welcome party and fantastic dinner organized by Visit New Orleans at Mardi Gras World. I have to say that the service and support from the CVB was really a big help and this is much better in comparison to many other cities.

NRECA/ Annual Meeting and TechAdvantage Conference and Expo, February 2016
NRECAWow, what an amazing event we had in New Orleans! I have not received more positive and outstanding comments on this annual meeting than any other I have attended. Thanks to the CVB for playing an important part in the success of the NRECA 2016 Annual Meeting and TechAdvantage Conference and Expo.

Your flexibility and expertise made planning these events easy, even when we had last minute requests. Your entire team deserves praise on their professionalism and willingness to prioritize on the move.

I could not think of a better city or a better CVB team to be with during my maiden voyage as director. I have learned so much from you that will make me better in my role. My goal is to make each Annual Meeting better than the last.

Again, I would like to express my gratitude and thank you for being a great partner to the Meeting and Event Planning team and myself. Let's do this again....you are the best!

Stellar Meetings & Events/ Sales Training, January 2016

I can't thank the CVB enough for all that they did to make my client's New Orleans sales meeting an enormous success. Without the CVB's help, it would have been impossible for me to have pulled this meeting off with such great results.

New Orleans is a better destination than ever. All of the new restaurants and venues made it hard to choose the best options. The Loews did a spectacular job. What an wonderful hotel, and such a great team. All of the restaurants that we visited: August, Brennan's, Acme, Compere Lapin, Emerils and Peche outdid themselves and each other.

I can't wait for my next opportunity to bring another program to New Orleans.

-Bonni Scepkowski, President & CSO

The team at the New Orleans CVB did a fantastic job showcasing their destination to our attendees through a very unique city tour experience - 'Follow Your Nola'. What better way to allow attendees the opportunity to explore the hidden gems of a destination than this! Needless to say, the feedback was fantastic!

American Urological Association, May 2015

The New Orleans CVB was a tremendous partner to us and provided enormous support to our marketing efforts. We utilized their entire array of marketing tools and found them to be a great asset to our campaign. Layering their vibrant "destination" campaign into our overall marketing strategy allowed us target our audience from a different angle, and keep our own messaging focused on the meeting and our scientific program. The CVB and their tools were integral to our success in New Orleans.

-Dana Hamer, Marketing Manager

Student National Medical Association, April 2015

Our annual conference, held in New Orleans, April 1-5, 2015, was wonderfully successful, with our numbers peaking at 1,300 people registered. With exhibitors and speakers, we can add another 400 people to that group, making a total meeting population of about 1,800 people.

As you know, our staff is small and, several years out, we rely heavily on excellent personnel at the host hotel and on a small cadre of support service providers that we engage on a regular basis. So, I want to take a moment now to thank each of you for supporting our 2015 Annual Medical Education Conference (AMEC). New Orleans is a wonderful place to hold a meeting or just to visit and we are always happy to have the opportunity to hold our program there. We can’t wait to come again!

Thank you for helping us to continue to build on that success.

On behalf of the SNMA Board of Directors and the Staff, thank you!

-Annette McLane, Associate Director for Programs and Conference Services

Direct Gardening Association (DGA), January 2015

We had a lovely event in New Orleans! One particular highlight that should be shared is that we contacted the Master Gardeners in your area and invited them to join us for a Consumer Panel. I led the panel, and it was such a hit that our next event will have another local Consumer Panel. We all had a great time with the Louisiana Master Gardeners. We asked them about their experiences/history with gardening and their experiences with online retailers. They were wonderfully rich sharing their stories. We could have gone on for hours! It was mutually beneficial for Direct Gardening Association and the gardeners. It was a great opportunity for our attendees to hear the challenges faced with the heat.

Our hotel was not just lovely but in a wonderful location for food, fun and frolicking. The staff was attentive and fun. The chef brought my teammate a king cake on the last day. The ambiance of your city was just as delightful as every story ever told! Charming.

-Shanan Atkinson, Executive Director

Pittcon, March 2015

What great week I had in New Orleans. Pittcon 2015 was a resounding success if measured by the participants reviews, especially the exhibitors. The success was due in no small measure to all the help we get from our friends in New Orleans, especially the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau and the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, who gave us way more than expected to help Pittcon be successful. You all are great. Pittcon

-Dick Obrycki, Secretary to the Board of Directors for Pittcon 2015 and Chairman of the Site Selection Committee for Pittcon 2015 and 2016

I would like to add my sincere thanks to the comments from Dick Obrycki regarding our recent PITTCON 2015 Conference held in New Orleans. We received nothing but outstanding support from the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). We were particularly impressed with the uniquely New Orleans flavor that our opening ceremonies acquired with the band provided by the CVB. The extra efforts provided by the Center, the Convention and Visitors Bureau staff and the people of New Orleans are deeply appreciated by the Pittsburgh Conference.

LogistiCare Solutions, L.L.C., September 2014

Two weeks ago I would have said that I was dreading the trip to New Orleans but after visiting your city and working with the AWESOME folks at The Westin, Mardi Gras World, Jean Lafitte Swamp Tours, Pat O'Brien's and Royal Carriages I have to say I was very, very wrong.  Now it's... NOLA, what a GREAT city.

I'm happy to say that all our meeting attendees said this was the BEST Annual Retreat that LogistiCare has sponsored.

I wanted to express my gratitude to them by letting the New Orleans Conventions & Visitors Bureau know that I would recommend any of these venues to other Meeting Coordinators.  I would let it be known they would truly benefit from utilizing any or all of them for their next NOLA event.

I also would like to thank the New Orleans Conventions & Visitors Bureau for broadcasting my RFP request during the initial hotel search.

Thanks to the city of New Orleans for hosting our event.

I just returned from a convention in New Orleans and was reminded again why your city is such a great draw...and you know what, a lot of it has to do with the people who interact with visitors.  The welcoming spirit in New Orleans is unmatched anywhere in the United States (and I say that living in Tucson, where we rely on visitors, too!)
