We are proud to tell you how far New Orleans has come since 2005. The city has done more than recover - we are now recreating New Orleans in ways we never imagined before the storm.
The story of hospitality and tourism in New Orleans is one ofextraordinary resurgence. In 2014, the city welcomed more than 9.52 million visitors and recorded the highest visitor spending figures in the city's history - $6.81 billion. With countless new cultural attractions, hundreds of new restaurants and millions of dollars in improvements to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and local hotels, the city is flourishing.
We are now looking ahead to the city's Tricentennial in 2018 with new developments on the horizon, including a new terminal at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and a revitalized riverfront at the foot of Canal Street.
