The magnificence of the sprawling oak and cypress trees and the raw beauty of primeval ponds and lagoons give an incomparable character to the many New Orleans layouts. From the glistening early morning dew of a 7 a.m. tee time to the golden rays of sun cascading through 200-year-old moss-covered live oaks at dusk, nothing is quite as stimulating as golf in the Big Easy.

And unlike many other destinations, the highlights of the day are not complete once the irons go back into the car; that perfectly struck four iron to three feet will be replayed over and over when you return from the links for dinner at one of the world’s great restaurants, just a couple minutes' walk from your hotel.

One of the oldest and most popular stops on the PGA Tour is played here: the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, started in 1939 as the New Orleans Open. The 2009 tournament will take place at the Tournament Players Club of Louisiana (the course Golf Digest named the fourth best new layout in America) April 20-26.

Did you know that Byron Nelson, Jimmy Demaret, Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Gary Player, Tom Watson, Seve Ballesteros, Ben Crenshaw, David Toms, Vijay Singh, and Davis Love III have all won championships in New Orleans? Multiple layouts across the area (listed below) have the lush green fairways and verdant landscapes you would expect in the Deep South; and they do a phenomenal job with groups and reunions as well as with your foursome. They’ll place you as a single or organize your tournament. Every range of service is ready to be customized to suit your needs.
