French Quarter Festival is dedicated to supporting the local music community. The festival only schedules local musicians. No matter what style of music you enjoy, you'll find it at French Quarter Festival. Fifteen outdoor stages feature every genre from gospel to jazz, from funk to classical, from Cajun & zydeco to brass band.

Music performances are made possible by the Musicians Mutual Protective Union Local No. 174-496, the Music Performance Trust Fund, and over 50 entertainment sponsors. French Quarter Fest's family of entertainment sponsors includes local businesses, music clubs, restaurants, record companies and private individuals who support the New Orleans music community.
