NOLA Goes Pink

Top Chef Event to Benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, New Orleans

Dine out with a cause this month! October is breast cancer awareness month, and New Orleans has found a unique way to do its part.  Throughout the month, the city's top chefs will wear pink chef's coats and designate a healthy menu item or create a NOLA Goes Pink (NGP) dish with ten percent of the proceeds of each sale going directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure New Orleans. NOLA Goes Pink is the only month-long, city-wide, chef-driven promotion in support of breast cancer awareness in the United States.

New Orleans is made up of locals who understand how important unity is to make a change, so join in and dine out with a cause this month!

Participating Chefs and Restaurateurs include: 5 Fifty 5 (Chef Mark Quitney), 8 Block Kitchen & Bar (Chef Eric Damidot), Andrea's (Chef Andrea Apuzzo), Arnaud's (Chef Tommy DiGiovanni), Bayona (Chef Susan Spicer), The Bombay Club (Chef Ricky Cheramie), Bourbon House (Chef Darin Nesbit), Café B (Chef Chris Montero), Café Giovanni (Chef Duke LoCicero), Crêpes à la Carte (Chef Kevin Merlin), The Davenport Lounge (Chefs Vinny Russo and Emily Dillport), Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse (Chef Alfred Singleton), Juan's Flying Burrito- Magazine Street (Chef Neal Swidler), La Thai (Chef Diana Chauvin), Le Meritage (Chef Michael Farrell), M bistro (Chefs Vinny Russo and Emily Dillport), Nirvana (Chef Anjay Keswani), Orleans Grapevine Wine Bar & Bistro (Chef Eddie Ray King), Palace Café (Chef Ben Thibodeaux), The Pelican Club (Chef Richard Hughes), Pho Orchid, Ralph's on the Park (Chef Chip Flanagan), Red Fish Grill (Chef Michael Gottlieb), Reginelli's Pizzeria- All seven locations (Chef Darryl Reginelli), RioMar Seafood (Chef Miles Prescott), Slice Pizzeria- Magazine Street (Chef Paul Wilner), Slice Pizzeria- St. Charles Avenue (Chef Amy Mockovak), Soif Faim (Chef Alex Wolf), Taceaux Loceaux (Chefs Maribeth and Alex del Castillo) and Vitascope Hall (Chef Eric Damidot).

In addition to healthy menu items, Ralph's on the Park will feature the Pink Poodle cocktail throughout the month of October and will donate twenty percent of the proceeds to SGK, New Orleans. To further the cause, staff at all seven Reginelli's locations in the metropolitan area will wear a custom-designed t-shirt in support of NGP that reads "Breast Cancer...Fight Dat" and incorporates a fleur de lis. They will sell the shirt with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, New Orleans. Pho Orchid is donating ten percent of the proceeds from the entire menu for the month of October to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, New Orleans.
